Todd Albert
Siebels
May 8, 1971 — Jan 26, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Todd Siebels, on January 26, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Born on May 8, 1971, at John McDonald Hospital in Monticello, Iowa, Todd was the beloved youngest son of Albert Jr. "Jack" and Susan Rigby Siebels.
Todd grew up in Monticello and graduated with the Class of 1989 from Monticello High School. Fondly known as "Siebs" by his friends and loved ones, a nickname that stayed with him from childhood, Todd's hardworking and determined spirit led him to begin his career at Stahlberg Construction before moving on to Welter Storage in his early years.
In 1999, Todd embarked on a career with Price Electric that spanned nearly 25 years. During this time, he achieved numerous accolades, including earning his residential license in 2002, his journeyman's license in 2004, and serving as a field leader during his final year. Todd was instrumental in teaching apprentices and mentoring emerging leaders in the company. He was part of the team that earned the ABC of Iowa "Excellence in Construction" award and was a finalist for the Master Builders of Iowa's Safety Champion award. In 2020, Todd's exceptional dedication earned him The Kelly Huffracker Employee of the Year Award.
Todd's personal life was just as rewarding. He first married Teresa O'Leary on February 22, 1999, in Manchester, Iowa. Though they later parted ways, Todd found love with Julie Brown. On a warm summer day, June 20, 2020, Todd and Julie exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony at Pinicon Ridge Park in Central City, Iowa. Together, they built a loving home in Marion, Iowa.
A dedicated family man and friend, Todd's kindness, positivity, and willingness to help left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He was known for his willingness to assist, whether volunteering at work or solving challenges for clients and colleagues. His warm and generous nature made him a trusted mentor, a cherished friend, and a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
Todd's passions extended beyond work. He cherished spending time with his family, including his two loyal dogs, Remington and Oakley. He found joy in the great outdoors, enjoying hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, camping, and cheering on Iowa sports teams. Todd's love for life and those around him will be deeply missed.
Todd leaves behind his devoted wife, Julie; his children, Ashly Siebels and Makayla Covington; his grandchildren, Lohla and Aubry Shepherd. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Nicholas (Kristin) Eilers, Miranda Peyton, Dillon Peyton, and Taylor Peyton; his two step-grandchildren, Vincent and Eliana. He is also survived by his father Jack (Barb) Siebels; his brother, Craig (Julie) Siebels; and many friends and colleagues who admired and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert (Betty) Siebels; his maternal grandparents, Art (Helen "Flo") Rigby; and his mother, Susan Rigby Siebels.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Goettsch Funeral Home in Monticello. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion, with interment following at Prairie Hill Cemetery.
