Vickie Kral, 86, died Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her daughter Betsy's home in Monticello.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 Friday morning, May 22, 2026, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello.  Interment will be in the Norwich Cemetery, Martelle at a later date.  Friends may call after 10:00 at the funeral home.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Betsy Shepherd and Kimbly Straka, Devin Clark and 7 other grandchildren, a nephew Bernard Wedlund, and siblings, Cleo Carpenter, Aldon Wedlund, Lyman Wedlund.  She was preceded by her parents, a son Bruce, and siblings, Bernard, Lawrence, Clayton and Barry and a nephew Shane Wedlund.

Vickie June Wedlund was born June 30, 1939, at Eau Claire, Wisconsin the daughter of Arlene and Edna Dutter Wedlund.  She graduated from Eau Claire High School before relocating to Iowa.

Vickie worked in a nursing home for a number of years in Iowa.
