Wallace "Wally" Tuetken, 88, died Wednesday August 13, 2025 at Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Private family services will be held at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello with Interment in the Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Bill Warhover will officiate at the services. The family requests no flowers or gifts, memorials may be made and sent to your favorite charity.
Surviving are three sons Lance (Amy) Tuetken and children, Hunter, Elle, Ali, Sara, Weston; Craig (Danielle) Tuetken and children, Jennifer (Casey) and their children Caladan and Corben, Todd (Kelsey) and their children Trey and Teddi; TJ (Chrissie) Tuetken and children, Tyler and Adelyn; He was preceded in death by his wife, Ilene (Susie), parents, a daughter Ann Marie, his granddaughter, McClean Tuetken, a grandson: Chase Tuetken and a sister, Margaret Ann.
Wallace Edward Tuetken was born June 18, 1937, at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa, the son of William and Mabel (Flockhart) Tuetken. Wally started farming at the age of 13 with his dad. He had a fondness for raising cattle. He was quick to offer a helping hand to his neighboring farmers. He retired from active farming at the age of 80 and totally retired from farming with his last breath. Wally was married to Ilene (Susie) Emerson April 7, 1962, at the United Methodist Church, Mount Vernon. They were happily married for 57 years.
Wally was an active member of the Jones County Cattlemen Association serving at all levels and as president. He was a District Representative for the Iowa Cattlemen and served on various committees at the state level. He also belonged to the National Cattlemen's Association.
