Wayne Paul Sams 62, passed away March 2, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

A Visitation will be held on Friday March 11, 2022 from 4-7pm at Goettsch Funeral Home Anamosa, Iowa.

Wayne was born September 21, 1959 in Anamosa, Iowa to Cecil and Dolores (Marsh) Sams. Wayne graduated from Anamosa Community High School with the class of 1978. He continued his schooling in Des Moines attending the Auto Mechanics School. He worked as a mechanic.

Wayne  enjoyed fishing and hunting morel mushrooms.

He is survived by his mother and 3 children; Ryan Sams, Erica Sams and Kelcee (Curtis) Jarrard, 4 grandchildren, Jacob Sams, Cory Johnson, Abagail Johnson and Nyle Jarrard. He is also survived by 10 siblings; Dawn (Mike) Kurth, Karen (Steve) Theriault, Becky Jones, Teresa Lemmer, Richard Sams, Rodger (Cindy) Sams, Gary Sams, Matthew (Lori) Sams, Cecilia (James) Farmer and Mary Sams. Numerous nieces and nephews. Special friend Sara.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents; Lee and Ferol (Kurth) Sams, Paul and Emily (Stelcik) Marsh.
