We own Goettsch Funeral Home. Kevin came to work for the Goettsch brothers in October of 1974, and purchased the business from them in October of 1982. We have two grown children. Our son Britt is the Chief of Police in Monticello where he and his wife Mikinzie, and their sons Colt & Cash live. Mikinzie is the Office Manager for the funeral home. Our daughter Jillian is a doctor living in Chicago.

Kraig has been helping families through all aspects of Funeral Service since 1990. Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, he makes his home in Anamosa. He has two adult children Alex and Lauryn. In free time he likes to ride bicycles, work around the house, enjoys cooking, baking different kinds of bread and pizza, and drinking a wide variety of Iowa craft beer. We are pleased to have him as part of our team.

Mikinzie Smith
Office Manager
Mikinzie is married to our son Britt. They have three sons, Colt & Cash and son Austin who is forever in our hearts. She comes to us with a background in finance and insurance. As the office manager Mikinzie manages the day to day operations of our business. In addition to all of her responsibilities here, Mikinzie also runs the Austin Strong Foundation which Britt and Mikinzie founded in 2016, in honor of their son and our grandson 6 year old Austin, who passed away of brain cancer in May of that year. We will forever be #austinstrong.

Meet Jim, with over 30 years of dedicated service, his journey with us began during his high school years. Jim has developed many roles, from taking care of the grounds and building maintenance to assisting with services.
Known for his warm and inviting approach, Jim ensures our families receive the compassionate support they need. His enduring dedication and invaluable contributions have made him an integral part of our team, embodying the values at the heart of our funeral home. We are proud to have Jim as a valued member of our team.
